Meal: Lunch. Type of tea: Loose leaf. Served: In a teapot.
Tea: Excellent. Food: Excellent. Service:
Excellent. Appearance: Excellent.
Comments: They had a nice chef's lunch that is very
satisfying for a male customer who wants more than
finger sandwiches. The lunch menu changes weekly. When we visited we had a hearty cup of soup (my
husband had a free second cup!),a cheese scone,an assortment of fresh fruit, a pot of tea, and chocolate
chip cookies for $14.75. I tried a special tea that was
smoked over pine needles. It was very nice of them
to say that if I did not like it they could brew something
else. I love to experience something new without fear.
They had private rooms for special occasions which
were very nice and cozy.
Would you go back? Yes, can't wait!

Comments: I made reservations for my husband's birthday
based on the reviews. It was WONDERFUL! The sandwiches &
cakes were fresh & flavorful. There was a huge choice of teas.
We also had quiche that was out of this world. Miranda & Greg
came by the table to see if we were happy. We were!!
Don't miss this place. It's GREAT !!
Would you go back? Yes, can't wait!

Comments: I made reservations with the Market Tea Room
because of the excellent reviews! Carolyn, the chef, came to
our table to thank us for coming. This was the best 'High Tea'
experience I've ever had! I have since been to the Brown Palace
High [sic] Tea in Denver and it does not even compare to
Carolyn's! I've been telling everyone whose going to Vegas to
go there.
Would you go back? Yes, can't wait!

Comments: I visited this tea room because of the escellent reviews. I would return again because of the
excellent service and delicious food. The owner, Carolyn, was so very helpful and
pleasant. She went out of her way to serve us a high
[sic] tea even though we arrived when it was really too late and near
closing time. Her chicken salad is unbelievable. All the food is
prepared fresh by Carolyn and is served by her wonderful staff.
Our hostess, Nicki, was very attentive and friendly. Without a
doubt I would recommend this tea room to anyone who enjoys
wonderful food and authentic Devonshire creme. The reviews
don't do it justice!
Would you go back? Yes, can't wait!

Comments: My sister and I are avid tea takers, always
seeking out the best tea rooms whenever we're in the
same state together. Translation: we are extremely picky
and critical of tea services. While this intro may seem
verbose, it is necessary to properly accentuate our review
of the Market Tea Room. To state it simply, this is now
one of our favorites! Carolyn, the owner, was most
gracious. She offers an incredible selection of tea. My
favorites were the Black Forest and the Lychee green tea.
We all enjoyed our experience at the Market Tea Room.
Considering our group was comprised of varying levels of
tea-takers (first-timers, occasional goers, and of course,
my sister and I – the “tea junkies”), this says volumes.
Needless to state, the Market Tea Room is now included
as a “must do” for me, whether it’s taking visitors for tea, or
dropping in for a quick lunch (I am in love with her Butternut
Squash Soup and Chicken Salad Sandwich). Now, if I can
only get Carolyn to open up shop in Summerlin…
Would you go back? Yes, can't wait!

Comments: Very unassuming location, but wonderful tea
selection and the food was amazingly tasteful and authentic
(especially the devonshire cream for the scones). Hats off to the chef. Went with little girls and they were
able to accommodate with dress-up boas and skirts.
Highly recommend and will definitely go back.

Comments: My friend and I went in yesterday with the
idea to just have tea and scones and check the place
out. However, after stepping foot inside and smelling
the freshly baked scones, we realized we were more
hungry than we thought. When the new owner, Carolyn, who is a professionally trained chef,
personally greeted us and told us about the soups du
jour, we decided on sandwiches and soup as well as
tea and scones. Everything was very delicious and we
will be back again and again! Too bad she is still
suffering from the reputation gained by the previous
owners. Do yourself a favor and check her place out.
Everything is made fresh daily depending upon available ingredients.

Comments: I have gone to this tea house for the last
2-3 years. This was the only one that was open on Sunday that
serve afternoon tea. I last visit in the Summer of 2007 I dine with my niece and we love it. In
the past the scone and sandwhich was OK but the new
owner the everything (everything) was excellent. I really
enjoy the food and the service. I have gone back and
introduce my family and friend. I'm from SF so I miss
good afternoon tea. My second best is The Four Season the ambiance is excellent but the
food is good/fair.

Comments: The chef herself came out to greet me (I'm
guessing it was one of those family run places, very
personable) After finding out that I was from the UK, she
outwardly admitted that she was nervous about me eating
her food! She gave me the run down of the menu, it seemed that she made everything from scratch and
had daily specials depending on what was fresh from
her supplier. I ordered the High [sic] tea for three which
came with a Cream tea option (my standard measure on authenticity) we each got our very own teapot
with our choice of tea blend. I was amazed at the choices
we had. Chocolate dipped spoons, quiche, bread pudding, lemon curd
pastries, cucumber sandwiches, roasted turkey
..... so much more and all made with such care! You could taste every little ingredient that
she had put into these fillings, the combination of flavors
just amazed us.
Would you go back? Hope so, but we don't live nearby.

Petrossian
Lounge at the Bellagio Hotel, Las Vegas, NV
Visited:
December, 2007. Meal: Afternoon tea. Type of tea served:
Teabags. Served: In a teapot.
Tea: Fair. Food: Fair.
Service: Poor. Appearance: Poor.
Comments: This is NOT a tearoom by far. It is very much
a bar, with the section for afternoon tea located in the
back, requiring you to walk past a bar overcrowded with
patrons. Further, as their tea is held in a bar open to the
casino, expect unwanted second-hand smoke with your
tea service. Speaking of tea service, what we experienced
was anything but. The teas, although served in a teapot,
were in bags too small for the pot. The sandwiches were
so-so, scones too dry, lemon curd sub-par, and desserts
mediocre. Being a first-class resort, I expected so much
more from the Bellagio. Why offer tea service when you
clearly aren't the least bit interested in sticking to tradition?
Would you go back? Sorry, no.

Comments: After experiencing the ultimate in high
[sic] afternoon tea in Great Britain and at the Four Seasons
Hotel in Las Vegas, the Bellagio should be rightfully
embarassed to call their mis-service, high [sic] tea. The
pastries were delcious, I will concede that, however the
finger sandwiches were atrocious. I have tasted better
sandwiches made with Underwood sandwich spread from a tin. The service was severely lacking
and I felt the busboy was a better server than our "waitress." A
word of advice to the Bellagio, when serving food, your
staff should not have sleeves which dangle into your
customers dishes. It is very unsanitary and just not
classy. Finally, the location, awful!!! The Petrossian Bar
is just that a lobby bar between the hotel reception area
and the casino- so, you hear everything and the serenity
that is associate with afternoon tea is completely lost.
Not to mention the hoards of nosey and classless tourist who stare while you are trying to enjoy your
"experience." Bellagio- take a piece of advice and drop
your tea service as it is not worthy of your pathetic
efforts.
Would you go back? Sorry, no.

Comments: Of all the places I've had tea,
this was the most elegant, fanciful place yet. The
food was magnificent. You can choose four tea
sandwiches out of a selection of eight. Sandwiches
included caviar, prosciutto, cucumber with salmon,
lobster, etc. The desserts were to die for. When
the food came, all the other patrons in the lounge
wanted what we had and made reservations for
another day. I would visit Vegas again just for
the tea.

Comments: Since it was the Bellagio, I
suppose I had higher expectations for their tea
room. Afternoon tea is served in the middle of
their lobby, which makes it very noisy and busy,
and I found this to be very distracting for having
tea. The food was nice, however, and there was a
harpist playing. But the service felt rushed and
perfunctory. I would not return there.

left something to be desired. The service was very

isn't what I expected from such a great hotel.
