Infini-tea is our favorite place for a meal or "just tea". It is great to have a meal at a restaurant that is all freshly prepared and able to be modified to my taste. you have to give it a try.

I had much higher hopes for this tea room based on the community paper review. The tea offerings were extensive and excellent. With our Royal Tea 18.95 you could have several pots of differant tea, this was the best part of the tea offering. The scones were good but only one given per person and seconds were not offered. The tea sandwiches were all regular bread i.e. wheat or white and open face. No signature or special offering.  No condiments of fruit, veggie garnishes or cheese. The soup was ok. but luke warm. The desserts again nothing special all bars or thin sliced cake no pasteries or miniatures or chocolate dipped fruit. We could have gone to a high end Sunday Brunch or downtown to one of the fine hotels. The Royal child tea 10.95. It had a nice offering of a strawberry smoothie or hot chocolate. The peanut butter and jellie sandwiches were over filled and lacked the special touches of all the other food. Overall this is a great place to go for tea if you are in the area. Leave the food to someplace else.
Would you go back? Sorry, no.

I politely disagree with the tone of the previous reviewer. As a long-time tea drinker who favors Chinese green tea, this shop was quite a disappointment. They do have well over a hundred varieties of tea, but about 90% are boxed and/or bag tea, with the majority herbal. Their selection of bulk loose tea was limited to about 20 varieties, of which, again, roughly half were herbal. I would expect a tea shop selling so many varieties to have more than 5 or 6 greens in bulk, all of which I would characterize as mediocre and overpriced. Also, no Pu-erh or any non-mainstream tea whatsoever. I'd recommend Strawberry Fields in Urbana (across town). It has a smaller selection, but more and better bulk green tea including many of the China Famous Teas as well as fun things like expanding tea "peaches."
Would you go back? Sorry, no.

This retail shop has HUNDREDS of types of tea, loose and bagged, of every company and name imaginable! Unfortunately, they also sell coffee and the coffee smell is a bit overwhelming, but no matter ~ if there's a tea you're looking for, chances are you'll find it here. They also have an excellent assortment of imported foods (clotted cream, Devon cream, English biscuits, etc) and other food and drink items. A nice shop with friendly employees!

Afternoon Tea is offered in the elegant Palm Court lobby for $24.50. A  harpist played. The tea is brewed from loose tea; our pot was refreshed frequently, but fresh tea was not provided [we did not request it]. A 3-tiered tray consisted of sandwiches, scones & desserts. The sandwiches were cucumber with tomato, roast beef, egg salad, rolled ham & asparagus. Banana nut bread accompanied the scones with jam and cream. There was only 1 each of the desserts [WHY do tearooms do this? Everyone wants to taste everything, and it is messy trying to share]: chocolate mocha torte; lemon tart; swan eclair; custard tart with fruit. The food was delicious, the waiters attentive, and the setting lovely. We would return.

What was once THE place for tea in Chicago is now the last. Scones were dry, tasteless and hard. Sandwiches seemed to be thrown together, fillings oozing out. Pastries were good. Tea was average. Only one strainer per table. We asked for additional strainers and they were brought. Difficult to summon waiter to bring more hot tea. I will not go back nor recommend to guests who visit Chicago.

I agree with those who found the Drake Hotel's afternoon tea a disappointment. While the ambiance is lovely -- tables around a fountain with live music by a solo artist, in our case a harpist -- the service was "ok" and the food was poor. The tea sandwiches were good, but the "scone" was terrible -- like a hamburger bun with black specs in it -- not even close to a scone. The pastries did not seem fresh and were not particularly tasty. All in all a disappointment, especially if one has experienced a truly fine afternoon tea service.

This was a tourist thing to do, not a true afternoon tea. The sandwiches were dry and not very tasty, the scones were not true scones (more like biscuits from KFC). There is only one strainer per table, and instead of bringing a fresh pot of tea they just add hot water to your teapot, so after the first pot the tea just tastes like water. The atmosphere is beautiful with a giant fountain and harpist.

Superb service. Reasonable selection of tea. Good food. Congested and noisy ambiance. One tea strainer is shared by the whole table which may seat up to four persons. Imagine someone drinking a spicy or strongly scented tea.

Beautiful room, excellent service and heavenly food. We were a party of six and they seated us immediately. There was lovely music being played. The atmosphere was perfect. It was the afternoon tea of my dreams. They do serve the tea in teapots English style meaning that that don't remove the leaves, however they very frequently brought more hot water for the pots and it was fine. It was my 23-year old DD's first experience of a formal afternoon tea and she enjoyed it very much.

The Drake made a fine stop for a spot o' tea after a solo afternoon of shopping on the Miracle Mile. A harpist played, I sat under a wonderful fountain, and there was so much to eat I took my desserts home. The food was excellent, as was the tea. The service was solicitous and made no fuss about my being a solo diner. The room was mostly full of tourists dressed in "sweats" and sneakers, so the atmosphere was a bit more informal than I prefer, but a lovely tea nonetheless. Highly recommended.

To be sure The Drake Hotel has a delightful atmosphere, complete with a cello player at our visit. However, the overly brewed tea, dry tea sandwiches, and stale pastries (not to mention exorbitant expense) did not make our hour wait for our table worthwhile. We found this tea room to be more of a tourist attraction than a true afternoon tea retreat.

NoMi, high atop the Park Hyatt Hotel, overlooking Michigan Boulevard, claims to 'epitomize sophistication in dining. Seducing diners upon first glance are the stunning appointments, distinguished art collection and awe-inspiring views of the Chicago skyline. Described by Wine Spectator as 'leading a streamlining of American cuisine,' chef Gamba's culinary vision pays homage to time-honored French techniques blended with his own distinctive touches. The intrinsic flavors of each ingredient are emphasized, letting dishes emerge as their own masterpieces.' The setting is sleek & trendy, the service impeccable. Afternoon Tea is $18.00 Tea is brewed from leaves. The teapot and utensils are silver. The servings are small, but delectable. Open faced sandwiches on toasted rounds [about the size of a ritz cracker]: salmon, cucumber, ham. In lieu of scones, 2 citrus madelines with strawberry jams. For desserts: macaroon, chocolat tarte, vanilla custard with raspberry sauce [served in an egg cup]. Impeccable service, delectable food, serene setting. We'd return.

Overall, a very enjoyable meal in an elegant setting. The food itself was excellent, with a wide selection of sandwiches, scones, and desserts. Not necessarily traditional (e.g. no watercress :-) ), but excellent none-the-less. The tea was only good. Somewhat basic selection, minimal descriptions, but good quality. They only weirdness was that while strainers were provided, when they poured the tea for us, they didn't use them, which was a bit weird. The service was overall very good, excellent when they were around but at times gone for long periods. The atmosphere was, well, in a hotel lobby. A very nice lobby, not very noisy, but you're in a lobby. But overall a very pleasant experience!

I have been to many, many afternoon teas and the tea at "The Lobby" at the Pennisula in Chicago was one of the best. My boyfriend and I went for afternoon tea. The table setting was beautiful. They also had a 4 piece string quartet playing in the balcony of the spacious room. The tea sandwiches were artfully crafted, tasty and very unique. (They also asked us if we wanted more!!) There were two types of scones served. One plain and one with currants. We both had one of each. Lastly, there were several desserts, including a mini vanilla souffle. All were excellent. I would be remiss if I didn't add that once the looseleaf tea arrived, my boyfriend got down on one knee and proposed (what a wonderful place for a proposal for a tea person??) Upon seeing this, the staff immediately came over, asked if they could move us to a "cozier" table (which was closer to seeing the outside gardens) and brought us complimentary glasses of champagne. This was such a wonderful and sharp staff that we look forward to returning at least for every anniversary.

I've been to all the hotels downtown for afternoon tea and the Peninsula Hotel offers the best afternoon tea. The soufflé they bring out at the beginning is the best! The scones are also warm and light and fluffy. The pastries are divine. They will also bring you extra helpings of anything you like for no charge, but you are so stuffed you don't need any -- but get a nice to-go box.

They had two seatings: 2.30 and 4.30pm. We took the 4.30. We waited a long time before we got our food, and half way into our scones we were given our bill. The waitress then came back twice wanting to get the payment and insisted that we pay first before we finished our tea since they were closing at 5.30. We had to hurry through our tea. It was hard to get service. The only time the waitress came back to our table after bringing the initial tea was when she brought the bill shortly after the food arrived and when she kept hounding for the check. Tea selection was not great. Food was okay. A further minor point: the hostess did not know the difference between low and high tea. She referred to the tea they served wrongly as high tea.

I have had afternoon tea at the Ritz Carlton in Chicago, Illinois several times. I often order the champagne with the afternoon tea, a tea option they offer. The tea is served similarly to the Savoy in London. You are seated at a sofa with a formal tea service on the coffee table. There are also tables and chairs should you prefer it. The ambiance is intimate and elegant, although the room is a large atrium with a fountain. Taking tea was decadent, the service excellent, the scones with clotted cream and jam quite good. (Let's face it, nothing in the States compares to the clotted cream in England!) The pastries were artfully prepared, delicious morsels. The traditional sandwich selections were fresh and tasty. The staff has always been attentive, but not bothersome. A most enjoyable, uplifting afternoon tea experience!!

Everyone else's review is pretty accurate, so I just wanted to add two points. I gave them only a Good rating for ambiance because the dining room felt very crowded. Also, I don't know why everyone is saying the portions were sparse, my friends and I couldn't eat another bite by the time we got into the desserts! I would definitely go back, everything was delicious.

We had a wonderful experience here. Russian Tea Time was very recently remodeled, and is a beautiful setting. There is dark wood paneling, Russian samovars and dolls, and lovely wall sconces. We ordered the full afternoon tea. The scones were delicious, raisin scones, and were served warm. There was a nice assortment of sandwiches on different types of bread. The desserts were delectable. Their apricot-peach tea was smooth and flavorful.
The staff were warm and attentive, and took pictures for us. The restaurant is beautiful, clean, and comfortable. There was Russian music playing in the background -- a nice blend of classical and Russian folk music. I would highly recommend this tea room.

Afternoon tea at Russian Tea Time is the perfect respite after a visit to the nearby Art Institute of Chicago; it's only a block away from the front steps. The restaurant (which also serves lunch and dinner and an astounding array of Russian vodkas) is cosy, dark, and authentically charming. Adding to the ambiance is beautiful Russian music playing in the background. Even though the tea is served in the English tradition, I think the Russian music really makes for a special experience.
Our Russian waiter on the day we were there was extraordinarily attentive and, by the way, quite handsome. Ask for Koba. :o) One of my tea companions was vegetarian and her tea menu was accordingly and appropriately revised.
The Afternoon Tea Service ($19.00/pp) includes a pot of tea, scone (with cream/lemon curd/preserves), sandwiches, and sweets. Sandwiches include cucumber tea bites, smoked salmon mini crepe, egg salad, corned beef on pumpernickel, radish and watercress spread, and cherry tomato and herbed cream cheese. Sweets include a sesame crunch cookie, chocolate-dipped butter cookie, walnut cookie, fudge brownie bite, mini Napoleon torte, and fruit pastry. Tea menu items may also be ordered a la carte.
Black tea choices are Assam Halmari TGFOP, Darjeeling Makaibari First Flush, Lapsang Souchong, Keemun Hao Ya, Russian Caravan, Mini Tuo Cha, Yunnan Superior, Highland Tay (Chinese and Indian black), English Breakfast decaf, and Georgian Guria, which was the tea I chose.
According to the menu: "The unique subtropical climate of Georgia (former Soviet Republic), which is situated between the Black and Caspian Seas to the east and west, the Caucasus Mountains to the north, and Turkey to the south, makes it possible for tea cultivation. It is the northern-most region in the world to support tea. Our Georgian Guria tea has amazingly long dark leaves that brew up a dark, yet very mild brew with medium body and no astringency. This tea is good any time of the day and goes well with a splash of milk and sugar." My pot of Georgian Guria was perfectly prepared and perfectly delicious.
Other tea/tisane choices are Green Oolong, English Breakfast decaf, Rose Black, Mango Chai, Earl Grey Imperial, Peach Apricot, Chamomile, Rooibus, Gan Tong, Sen Cha, Dragon Well, Green Lychee and Jasmine Yin Hao.
The menu states, "Upon your request, we can serve your tea from individual Samovar, in Yixing tea pot with glazed gongfu tea bowls and smell cups, from Gifu Japanese cup, or from our classic Russian tea glass holder."
I highly recommend Russian Tea Time. While I would only rate the food itself as "good" (a bit skimpy on the portions), the service is outstanding, the tea superior, and the ambience charming. Besides, how can you go wrong with a handsome Russian waiter and Tchaikovsky playing in the background?! :o)

Russian Tea Time is located on Adams, just a block from the Art Institute, and makes a wonderfully refreshing stop. The room is nicely decorated, and Russian music adds a nice touch. The staff all seem to be Russian and are friendly, efficient, and accommodating. The afternoon tea is excellent. Sandwiches are plentiful (cucumber, salmon with a touch of caviar, egg salad, corned beef on pumpernickel, radish and watercress, tomato and cream cheese); the raisin scone (less crumbly than a traditional scone) is served with Devonshire cream, strawberry preserves, and lemon curd; half a dozen sweets end the tea. The select of teas is wide and flavorful. We were highly impressed. They just began serving tea (daily from 2.30 to 4.30pm), and one waiter said, "I hope we can keep it up," so perhaps there is some doubt. We highly recommend a visit -- we're looking forward to returning ourselves!

Although nothing was really wrong with this hotel's afternoon tea service,
nothing struck me as memorable. Yes, they serve a fine afternoon tea in a pretty surrounding. But the tea sandwiches, while certainly pretty, were not melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Perhaps it's because I prefer soft bread to the Four Season's toast-like consistency on open-faced sandwiches ... these reminded me more of canapés. The scones and pastries were fine, but nothing special. Yes, the teapot is cleverly designed to prevent over-brewing of loose tea leaves. But I miss the delicacy of fine china ... standard white hotel dinnerware was used. The setting is small and pretty, but not as stunning as the gorgeous lobby of the Drake. If I hadn't been spoiled by memorable teas in hotels such as the Adolphus in Dallas, the Phoenician in Phoenix, and the St. Regis in New York, I'd be able to look more kindly on the Four Season's efforts.
Would you go back? Maybe.

This was our third visit to the Four Seasons for afternoon tea. This time there were three in our party, but we felt that our servings (especially the desserts) were served for two. We asked for additional scones (the first were small and flat), which were quickly brought -- but we were charged an extra $7.50 for the three scones. This would never have happened in England!! While the setting is lovely, we find the Seasons to be rather chintzy in their servings.

A reasonable, though not extensive, selection of nice loose leaf teas served in ingeniously designed steeping pots, with options of milk and white sugar chunks, in a luxurious ambiance further enhanced by a live pianist. The scones are not exactly the best that I've had. Overall, the low tea is definitely worth the money.

I realize that quantity is not everything, but I thought the portions were very minimal for the price one pays for tea at the Four Seasons. I guess you're paying for the lofty setting high above the bustling Michigan Avenue shopping Mecca. They had piano/violin background music and a fireplace in the middle of the room. The setting was very lovely. Unfortunately, we had front row seats to a bus boy dropping and breaking several dirty teapots and teacups. I prefer the Hotel Continental or the Drake over the Four Seasons for afternoon tea.

This was our second visit for afternoon tea at the Four Seasons. The atmosphere is superb: located on the seventh floor, overlooking Michigan Boulevard, spacious and elegant with fountains and greenery. A pianist plays in the background [Gershwin, etc.]. The service is unobtrusive but excellent. The scones, pastries, and sandwiches are all delicious, but we did feel that they were rather sparse with the sandwiches. If you find you can't live without the unique Rennefelt teapot, it is sold in the gift shop. We recommend a visit to The Seasons!

This place is great! Afternoon tea in Chicago at a reasonable price, and an atmosphere more comfortable than fancy. The tea room is decorated in dark, earthy colors, yet still has a feminine atmosphere, and they have the most interesting china: dainty, elegant, mismatched yet harmonious. The food was definitely the best feature of the place. I ordered the Full Tea Traditional. The scones (butterscotch and chocolate ginger raisin) were warm and delicious, and the tea sandwiches were light and flavorful, just the right kind of meal to fuel a day of errand-running. And I can't forget the desserts (the very friendly server told me what they were, but I can't remember the details -- suffice to say, they were chocolatey and awesome). I had to take half of the food home because there was just so much of it (your mileage may vary). The tea was very good as well, and there were a lot of options on the menu.

What a lovely concept...a boutique storefront with a wide array of gifts, clothing and accessories and a semi-private room in the back with 6 tables (I was told it could accommodate parties of 24 people). My first attempt to eat there was the day a private party had booked it for a shower, so I came back the next day and I'm so glad I did. Our group of 4 people ordered a tier of their "full tea exotic". The sandwiches  were delicious and the pastries were fantastic! Tart lemon bars, muffin cookies and chocolates to die for!  They make everything on site...their clotted cream, lemon curd and "lavender-orange truffles" were hits.  They have their own line of chocolates--hand-rolled, and hand-dipped chocolates. I bought two gift boxes to take to my family and they loved them. I am a new fan of this place and intend to revisit soon and try their weekend brunch menu.

I love this store and restaurant. I first heard about it when Chicago Magazine named it as "best tea service in Chicago 2005" in their annual Best of Chicago issue this summer. Not only did I have great tea service with yummy scones, desserts and finger sandwiches, I bought some great gifts--they especially have great kids and babies gifts, candles and bath products. I have since been back for their weekend brunch, and highly recommend their quiches! I just noticed that they won "Best Offbeat Store 2005" by Citysearch Chicago....I agree!

Halloween Tea special: Tea served in glass teapot was a jasmine green tea which was tinted a bright green. The answer given to why it was so green was because it was a halloween tea. It was the only tea served, no choices. Finger sandwiches just that, skiny with an almond on one end to represent a finger. Nothing spectacular, blue cheese was not tasty. None of my guests liked the blue cheese either. Stareted out with a cheesy scone, nothing to put on it. Thjey were warm & tasty. Followed by a pumpkin spice soup in a hollowed out pumpkin, nice touch but just so, so. Other scones served were 3. One a chocolate, pumpkin spice and raspberry. Scones hard, served with clotted cream & pumpkin butter. Lemon square (hard) and a ginger spice pumpkin cookie. Seating for 12 at 4 tables in back of store front. Up front a nice boutique of jewelry, handbags, cndles, bath soaps & clothing. Unfortunately they sell T-shirts with nasty logos.
Would you go back? Sorry, no.

Adorable tea room with fabulous food, great service and reasonable prices. Everything is quite original and done just a bit differently than the norm. Seasonal offerings from the owner's garden at home with all food homemade. An ever changing menu with monthly themes-according to seasons and holidays and menu selections taken from the owners extensive cookbook collection. Also does catering, private parties, provides carry out meals and offers cooking and crafting classes. Extremely nice experience whatever you go there for. I've been to many local tea rooms and this is one of the best.

This is an unusual tea spot. The treatment is first rate though a bit slow, but we weren't in a rush, so it didn't really bother us. You get a choice of about eight teas, which come in silver teapots from which the server pours your selection for you. First came a warm scone, then a couple of tea sandwiches served on delicious croissants. A three-tier tray of homemade cookies and quick breads followed, with a final wrap of a very colorful and artfully done dessert selection picked by the chef.
A beautiful selection of classical music filled the air in a room with lots of art objects to delight the senses. I've been there twice and each time there were very few other patrons which has surprised me as the food is first rate and the service is elegant. I recommend for an afternoon of girl talk when you're not rushing to something else.

If you become a repeat customer, the owner may well remember your previous orders and have some good recommendations for teas you might like to try.

From the moment you enter the Pickwick Society Tea House, you feel that you have taken a step back to a time when lfe moved at a slower pace and it was really OK to relax and enjoy! The selection of teas, the tea sandwiches and cakes and scones were excellent. The ambiance and service were exceptional! The "Little Women" theme is carried through the names of the menu offerings. Jo's plate is outstanding. I would highly recommend the Pickwick to any tea lover or anyone in search of a quiet relaxing spot to while away an afternoon!

My girlfriend and I were looking for something fun and different to do and chose to go to a tea room. This was not our Original choice but I am glad we went. The place was just charming. The food was unique (at least to me ) and very tasty. The tea was brewed just perfectly. The tea was drinkable upon pouring. It was not over steeped as to be bitter. I have read other reviews for this place, and saw complaints of packaged half and half. Well Honestly, a true tea drinker doesn't use anything in their tea, except a bit of something sweet. Otherwise what is the point. Service was slow, but we enjoyed that. In restaurants that are pushing you out the door to make room, this place fostered conversation. Don't go here if you are in a rush. That is NOT what this place is all about.

Took my mom there for lunch. It was really nice! Food was delicious and service great. This is in a very quaint town with nearby boutiques and cute little shops. The tea room is a tiny house that is very cozy. The owner and the staff make you feel like one of the family. Just a couple suggestions to make it even better -- they should have sugar CUBES not wrinkled packets of splenda!! Also the tablecloths were unironed and very frumpy. Small portions of food, so make sure you eat something light before you go!

While the food and tea were quite nice, the service was horrible. We were given the choice of sitting out on the porch or inside, and we chose the porch for its ambiance ... but we were out of sight and out of mind. A couple of Northside friends drove down and were glad they did. We all really enjoyed smelling the different teas while Cindy gave an    explanation about each. Some of us tried both hot and cold teas. The well-known chicken salad is worthy of all prior praise. The chocolate tarts and variety of cookies, breads and bars were appreciated by one and all. Last weekend I threw an afternoon bridal tea for my sister at the Pickwick. Prior to making our tea selections we got to smell all of the teas and hear about their caffeine content and beneficial qualities. Because 2 of our party members are lactose-intolerant some of the food items had to be adjusted, which they were very helpful and cheerful about. We never felt like we were imposing on their good will. I would highly recommend Pickwick for any and all occasions. It's a really fun place to go without the stuffiness of some teahouses.

This quaint tearoom has a menu based on the book "Little Women" with each menu item named for one of the characters. How cute! The special of the day is named for Jo because she was the indecisive one and always changing her mind, etc. The tea was wonderful, all organic, whole leaf served in teapots. The scone of the day, cranberry orange, was very tasty, as were the tea sandwiches and cream tarts. My friend thoroughly enjoyed the chicken salad made with dried cranberries and walnuts on a croissant, and a kumquat tart. With three different rooms to sit in, I want to go back again soon and try each space. They have a bright cheery four-season porch with comfortable wicker seating, and two more rooms decorated with antique and vintage tables, chairs, and linens. What a pleasure! I am sure I will go back again and again.

I was rather unimpressed with the Mad Hatter Nutcracker Tea at Seasons of Long Grove. Do not go there hungry for you will leave hungry. If you're expecting an English style afternoon tea, this will disappoint you. The service was passable, and the food awful. There are no substitutes, which is too bad, especially for vegetarians or those with sugar restricted diets. Overall, this was a waste of my money. They let us try as many teas as we wanted before ordering a full cup. It was very fun. The teas were very good. I especially liked the special blend of African Queen! The staff was very sweet and helpful. They have a card you can fill out to mark your favorite blends. You can keep this card on file at the shop or take home with you so you can easily remember for next time. They offer tea classes as well and have great merchandise. They no longer have outdoor seating.

I am a lover of afternoon tea and have had it at some of the classic spots all over the country. I love Suzette’s! My husband and I took our nephew who was visiting us. Our nephew indicated that he had never been to afternoon tea but wanted to try it. He is not a tea lover and not very adventurous when it comes to food. The quality of the food and the wonderful service won him over. We all had a wonderful time. My husband and I have been to Suzette’s many times and the food is always excellent. The only negative thing we have had to say is that Suzette’s was not open on Monday, the day when we seemed to want to got there to celebrate something. With the addition on Monday hours we now have nothing to complain about at all!

Went here for English tea this past weekend and would go back again. Our server, Jessica, was very helpful and very attentive. She gave us seconds of finger sandwiches and even made a special order of quiche (which was also really good) for my sister, who could not eat two of the sandwiches. The chicken salad was excellent, the other sandwiches were good too. There was not a big selection of tea, but the tea I had was good (DuJour). You get a full size dessert (if you choose a crepe, thay are big) at the end (after scones with lemon curd and devon cream). I would come back here again.

Some friends and I had afternoon tea here on Sunday. The place is very cute and cozy. Our tea sandwiches were very good, especially the chicken salad with mandarin orange and almonds, and I also enjoyed the salmon tea sandwiches. Our server, Jessica, was excellent. She was very friendly and did her best to make us feel very welcome. She kept coming back with more servings and she even went out of her way to bring other choices outside of the English tea menu, like the 2 choices of quiche, because on of the girls in our party wasn't able to eat some of the items on the menu. Overall, the experience was great.

At Suzette's you have to choose whether your entire party wants the French tea or the English tea and the only difference between the two is with French your food choices are crepes or quiche and English you get an assortment of finger sangdwiches. We chose French. I got the quiche which was delicious. My mom and sister got crepes and they loved them. Then you get small fresh baked scones. I've had better scones (these were a little too small and had hard sugar baked on the outside of them) but these were generally good. As usual they never bring enough cream and jam. Most tea places don't!! Then you get a dessert (either a piece of pie, or cake or dessert crepe). The restaurant has an old country feel to it and it is very cute. Tea selection is not very big but the teas they do have are very good. There is a small outdoor eating area. only thing I would say I didn't like is that the tables are too close to each other. Overall it was a nice tea experience

Comments:
The atmosphere is non-existent a combination of grocery store and snack bar kitchen. The owner has put no thought or effort into presentation or service. We were told we could have 1 of 3 tea's which is not what the menu or website indicated. After inquiring about the lack of tea selection our server came back and indicated they would make an exception and allow us to select from the menu. The sandwiches were brought to the table 1 and 2 at a time, no thought of presentation what so ever. The scones were the width of a Ritz Cracker and one of mine was also about that thick. The sweet portion of the “Afternoon Tea” was a restaurant dessert selection, again no presentation of pastries. If you are lover of the fine art of Afternoon Tea please do not disappoint yourself. This establishment should not be calling itself a Tea Room.

As a child I was told "If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all." I'll leave it at that.

A wonderful little spot in Wheaton for a stylish afternoon tea, with uniquely french touches. Great and filling tea sandwiches and sweets. Good variety of teas. A wonderful, cozy, and well appointed little tea room. Helpful and obsequious servers.

Tea is served in a comfortable and well decorated cozy room. The service is very friendly and efficient. The first course of sandwiches and savories is satisfying and served on trays by the wait staff. This is a very professional touch! The variety is good (veggie as well as shrimp and great homemade chicken salad). I understand that the selection is rotated, another good reason to return often. The second course of scones and appropriate condiments was fresh and tasty. The tea is completed with a dessert course featuring their signature crèpes. All in all a wonderful tea experience in the western suburbs.

My daughter and I went there for tea, to see what it was like, (I was looking into the facility for a bridal shower). They were very accomodating. We thought the food was excellent and the service was also. They have changed hands in the last year or two, so one might consider checking this out again. It is located near many quaint antique shops in downtown Wilmington, and also is along the "Route 66 Corridor" Could be a nice stop on the way during your historical journey.
