Tea &
Tassel on First,
Eatonia, SK
Visited:
Before 2007.
Meal: Just a cuppa. Type of tea: Pyramid teabag.
Preparation: In a teapot.
Tea: Excellent. Food: n/a. Service: Excellent.
Appearance: Excellent.
Comments: Tearoom is located in the nicest two story older home.
You enter to the smells and atmosphere of years gone by, beautiful
table accessories along with teas and things to make a woman feel
pampered and loved. I could have spent hours poking in all the nooks
and corners of this wonderful house, I purchased the loviest hand cream
and each time I use it reminds me of the hours spent there. The next
time I pass Oyen I will definitely schedule my time so that I can again
stop in.
Would you go back? Maybe.

Victorian
Tea Room, Regina, SK
Visited:
May, 2003.
Meal: Afternoon tea. Type of tea: Loose leaf.
Preparation: In a teapot.
Tea: Fair. Food: Excellent. Service: Excellent.
Appearance: Excellent.
Comments: The tea served is black tea, and I
believe it is made from concentrate that was made from
tea leaves earlier in the day. It is still very nice.
The tea room is open two days a month during the
spring/summer/fall and is run by volunteers dressed in
period costumes. Tea is served in a stunning ballroom,
often with live piano music. The food is wonderful, and
there is a menu for children with juice and special
food. If you want to take a tour of government house
afterwards (restored to Victorian splendor), admission
is free. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police museum is
down the street (Regina is the home of the RCMP) and
admission there is also free.
