Afternoon tea: The elegant snack of finger-sized sandwiches and savouries, scones, mini pastries, and tea. Also called low tea. It is not the same as lunch, but is served between lunch and supper. 

Royal tea: Afternoon tea served with sherry, wine, or champagne.

High tea: A homey, hearty, full meal that is served in the evening. Also called meat tea, high tea is supper or dinner, and is often accompanied by ale rather than tea.

Theme tea: Special event teas served at holidays (Mothers Day, Xmas, etc.) or with a particular theme (Little Princess, Earth-friendly, etc.)

Cream tea or elevenses: tea and scone, crumpet, or other baked goods. Served morning or afternoon.

Dessert tea: tea served with cake, pastry, or other sweets.
